We are extremely proud of our relationship with Inspire+, the independent sports and education charity that changes young people’s lives by helping them to lead healthier lifestyles through physical and well-being activities.
As well as using our school premises for their Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, Inspire+ also provide a comprehensive package including specialist sports coaching that supports up-skilling teachers in delivering high quality PE & school sport, teacher training, programmes for Gifted & Talented pupils, mentoring programme to help those pupils who like sport but suffer with low confidence and much more. They also have a number of inspiration Ambassadors who make regular visits to our schools and work with the children around various aspects which helped them succeed in their sporting achievements and over-come challenges they face growing up at school. Inspire+ ambassadors include Olympians, Paralympians and people who are truly inspiring in their achievements. They have also created a number of whole school resources to increase physical activity throughout the school across the curriculum whilst meeting the current Ofsted framework.
Each academic year concludes in over 2000 primary school children taking part in their own Mini Olympics at the Grantham Meres Athletics Stadium, which is organised by the charities secondary school volunteers; the Young Ambassador Steering Group.
The charity is expanding year on year with more schools across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands accessing the services that we provide.
